Custom campsite T-shirts: planning a souvenir collection
A campsite T-shirt can bring back a week by the ocean, a family holiday or a place people return to every summer. To create a souvenir collection, start with what makes your site distinctive and how your guests shop. Choose a design that belongs to your campsite
Look for details guests photograph or mention: a beach path, pine trees, a coastline or the atmosphere of the site. An illustration can combine that setting with your campsite’s name without reproducing all its signage. Decide whether the design is permanent or seasonal. Printing a year creates a keepsake, but makes remaining stock harder to carry over.
Separate staff clothing from guest merchandise
Clothing that identifies reception staff serves a different purpose from a T-shirt bought as a holiday souvenir. Prepare separate lists if you need both: wearers, styles, sizes and wording. For retail stock, consider your guest mix before planning adult and children’s items. Available styles and sizes need to be agreed; do not assume every cut comes in every age range.
Sell without crowding reception
Display one example of each design and keep other sizes in clearly labelled storage. Guests should immediately understand where to see the designs, ask for a size and pay. The display can sit at reception or in your shop, depending on your setup. Avoid an arrangement that pulls someone away from their desk for a long time whenever a guest wants to try a garment on.
Plan the season and replenishment
Work backwards from your preferred display date: design selection, approval, range preparation and transport. Confirm the stages before announcing availability. During the season, record sales by size and requests you could not fulfil. This helps distinguish a popular design from an unpopular colour and gives you a factual basis for replenishment or next season’s range.
Introduce your campsite to the workshop
Send a few site photos, your logo, a description of your usual guests, season dates and the space available for sales. Include your town, country and planned quantities.
